Customer Service

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION & RETURN POLICY

  1. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
    IMPORTANT
    No return will be accepted without a return material authorization (RMA) number.

    To request an RMA number, please contact us at 1-800-663-3735, or via email to Customer Service.

    RMA numbers are valid for ten business days after issue. Your RMA number(s) must appear clearly on the shipping label of the return shipment and on a copy of the invoice to be enclosed with the return.

    PLEASE DO NOT MARK THE ITEM'S BOX ITSELF IN ANY WAY AS THESE ITEMS WILL BE RETURNED.

    Customer Satisfaction: We will happily accept returns on most non-defective products returned for a credit or exchange. Items which cannot be returned under the Customer Satisfaction Policy are specified in Section 3 below. You may return any other item to us for any reason within 14 days from the date of shipment and receive a full refund of the purchase price less any shipping & handling.

    All items returned must be in completely new and re-saleable condition, or a 15% restocking fee will apply. GPS receivers returned with the outer packaging marked in any way will be refused and returned to the customer. Opened accessories, software products, special order items and electronic charts are not returnable unless defective (see Section 2 below).

    Shipping and Handling Fees are not refundable, with the exception of orders incorrectly shipped by Deakin Equipment Ltd.

    Refunds are processed within 14 days of receipt of returned product and will be credited back to the original credit card. We reserve the right to impose a restocking fee of up to 15% per item if the returned item is not received by us in new and re-saleable condition. This includes if an item and/or its packaging is damaged in any way (including plastic display protector missing, fingerprints, marks, scratches or tears on the unit or any packaging material, missing or damaged accessories, manuals, and reference guides that were included in original shipment, or original packaging materials damaged in any way), or the box is marred with any form of writing.

  2. DEFECTIVE RETURNS

    Defective items will be exchanged within 30 days from the shipment date using one of the following methods, at your option:

    1. Upon receipt of the defective item, we will send out a replacement to you at no charge using either Canada Post Regular Mail or,
    2. Subject to availability, we will ship (via Canada Post Regular Mail) a replacement unit to you and charge your credit card on file for the item. Upon receipt of the defective item, the amount charged to your card for the replacement will be refunded back to the card.

    Defective software products may be exchanged for the same title only.

    You will be responsible for the return shipping costs to Deakin Equipment Ltd. We will pay the shipping charges for returning the replacement item to you, and we ship all returns either by Canada Post Regular Mail. You may upgrade the shipping method by paying the difference in cost between our standard method and the method you choose.

    After 30 days from the shipment date, the terms of the manufacturer's warranty will apply.

  3. SOFTWARE & NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

    Software Products: Non-defective software that has been opened is not returnable under any circumstances. All software is subject to license agreements or terms established by the software publisher. Be sure to read and agree to the license before using the software.

    Opened accessories are not returnable under any circumstances.

    Special order models and their accessories are not returnable under the customer satisfaction policy. These models include the Fishfinders, Chartplotters, Sounders, and OEM units.

    GPS receivers returned with the outer packaging marked in any way will be refused and returned to the customer.

    e-Coupons and all other coupons/promo vouchers cannot be used towards GPS unit and accessory purchases.

  4. PRICING AND TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS

    All prices are subject to change without notice. We make every effort to provide you the most accurate, up-to-the-minute information. Despite our best efforts, some items on our web site may be mispriced.

    In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical, photographic, or technical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Deakin Equipment Ltd. shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.

    If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and ship you the item.

    If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will cancel your order and notify you of the price error and order cancellation. You will, of course, have an opportunity to purchase the item at the correct price, if you so wish.
